Awards and Recognitions
Foley Elementary has many teachers who are eMINTS certified or are currently working through the amazing program. eMINTS teachers ensure instruction is engaging, effecitve, and students are leading their own 21st Century learning.
Our school earned Cognia STEM certification in 2020. To earn this certification, we presented evidence to demonstrate our journey and implementation of STEAM activities across all curriculums and all grade levels. We value Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math here are Foley Elementary and know the importance of our students being engaged in real-world experiences, hands-on learning, and problem-solving strategies. Every five years, Cognia uses a process to review, revise, and improve STEM Standards to ensure that they remain relevant and support institutions in improving outcomes for all learners. The current STEM Standards for K-12 schools and programs are organized under four Domains: 1 2 3 4 STEM Community STEM Learning Culture STEM Experiences STEM Outcomes.
Seesaw is our school-wide platform that allows for student portfolios, formative insights, and family communication to exist all in one place. Students use intuitive tools to capture and demonstrate learning in a portfolio. Teachers get valuable insights into what students understand without extra work.
