Kathryn Ann Schultz Ford was chosen as the 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year at Foley Elementary. Ms. Ford has been a teacher at FES since 1989 working as a 2nd grade teacher, a reading intervention teacher, and as a 3rd grade teacher. Ms. Ford is a native of Foley and graduated from Foley High School.
She is a graduate of the University of Alabama and received her Masters degree from Springhill College. At Foley Elementary Ms. Ford has been a member of the Building Level Team, the SACs Steering Committee and she has been awarded several grants by the South Baldwin Education Foundation in order to benefit the students at FES.
She has been active in the community serving on Foley's Beautification Board, the Zoning and Planning Board, and the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast Committee. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Gus Schultz Scholarship Committee. She is a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she serves as a lector and previously was on the building committee. Ms. Ford is married to Philip Henderson and is the mother of Paige Ford Benson and Miller Ford.
Congratulations for receiving this nomination from your fellow staff members.
